MCC Sale 2009 Auction Item: Mini FasTrak Mower

General Auction Items: Excel Donates Third Mower

Excel Industries, Inc., Hesston, is donating a new Mini FasTrak lawnmower to the Kansas Mennonite Relief Sale General Auction. This zero-radius-turning lawnmower features a 17hp Kohler engine with a 42" deck.

In addition to their generous donation, Excel is sponsoring a test track at the sale. Individuals are invited to come drive a Mini FasTrak. Each driver is asked to donate $1 per ride with Excel matching each rider's donation.

The track staff are members of Excel's sales staff. The staff welcomes all questions in relation to the mower being auctioned. Due to safety concerns, riders are asked to present a valid drivers license.

The Mini FasTrak page at www.hustlerturfequipment.com contains the mower specifications.

MCC Sale 2009 Auction Item: DesertRosePottery

Desert Rose Pottery

An anonymous donor is offering a collection of Desert Rose Pottery on the 2009 General Auction. The collection features complete services for twelve. It was collected over a 40 year period.

The Franciscan Desert Rose pattern is one of the most popular American dinnerware patterns ever, according to internet research. The pattern was designed by Frederic and Mary Grant in 1941. Franciscan Desert Rose featured raised relief tiles and hand-painted designs. These designs reflected a true Southwestern flair. Original pieces of Desert Rose Pottery have sold for a few thousand dollars a piece. (* source www.e-bay.com)
